Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang
Earlier in 2010 I took my cousin Diep to the mountains (photos here). When I went to Vietnam, she returned the favour in a huge way and took us to Nha Trang where we did a million different things, including scuba diving and parasailing. My other cousins in Hanoi also lent us a wedding dress and suit and we decided to make Diep our photographer and take some wedding photos at the beach.
Thanks to Diep again for being the best tour guide ever. Album is here.

Vietnam - Hanoi
Earlier in 2010 I went to China to meet Kristi's family, and this December, we went over to Vietnam to meet mine. We went to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Nha Trang. The South Vietnam pictures will come later, but the pictures from Hanoi are here:

My cousin Diep took us to Bat Trang Ceramic City, just outside of Hanoi. Here we took a ceramic making class.

The food in Vietnam was always good. This bowl of noodles my family made for breakfast was just one of the tasty items.

Not only was the food our cousins made delicious, but the food we ate when we went out was great too. This is Sen Restaurant, which had the largest buffet I've ever been to.

We also had a little mini wedding reception in Vietnam - Kristi is in her Vietnamese long dress.

Mixed Fruit drink! Locals thought we were crazy for drinking this popular summer drink in their "cold winter."

We also walked around famous Hoan Kiem Lake. Turtle Tower shown above is on thousands of Vietnamese paintings.

Seoul and San Francisco
On my way home from Vietnam, I had two extra long stopovers and decided to take advantage of these stopovers and go out into town.
The first stopover was in Korea. I've been to a lot of airports, and I've got to say that the Incheon Airport is one of the best. They have free showers, a relaxation area where they have lounge sofas you can sleep on, a hotel right in the security zone, and a museum right in the airport. They also have free transfer tours, where transfer passengers like me get a complimentary ride into downtown Seoul. I decided to take them up on their offer and checked out the city for two hours.
My second stopover was in San Francisco, and by coincidence my friend Weiyang was in the city as well. We only had a few hours in the city, but decided to meet up for the sake of it.
The photo album with the rest of the photos is here. I also have additional pictures of San Francisco from my visit a few months ago here.
The rest of the pictures from my Vietnam trip will come soon. If you use an RSS program, you can subscribe to the feed to be updated as soon at the pictures are posted. You can also peek at the 2007 album to take a peek at the photos I took of Vietnam in 2007.

Hong Kong
After visiting Kristi's cousins in China, we headed to Hong Kong and met up with some family friends. Anybody who knows me knows that I love mangoes, and in Hong Kong I discovered an amazing dessert shop called Hui Lau Shan that specializes in mango desserts. I was also able to see the natural side of Hong Kong when we went on a tour to Tung Ping Chau Island and Tap Mun Island.
